help... tried everything but still no success. TOMTOM rider

Postby termonator » Fri Dec 13, 2013 10:37 am

Hi guys.

I read all tutorials and tried a lot of different ways to get my tomtom working but still no success.

This are the steps I Took,
1. Deleted everything of my 2gb sd-card.
2. Put back ttgo.bif file
3. Downloaded latest Universal Navecore Installer and installed the 32mb rider file on the tomtom
4. Downloaded several maps of central and east europa as I am from Holland and want a map of belgium and germany on it as well.
5. Made sure it where maps with the right META on it. Installed the map on de TOMTOM.
6. After everything is copied on to the memorycard I downloaded the latest FastActivate and Installed it also on the TOMTOM
7. Run option 1,2,3,4 it says meta is also updated and correct for the map.
8. after that I restarted the TOMTOM and it says on every map I tried: Problem with this card. You cant use this card on this navigationsystem: Central_europe-849

What do I do wrong?

thanks in advance

This is the classic message when a map is not patched. Look for a .meta file & a .meta.dct file in the map folder that you are trying to patch. No .meta.dct file = map not patched.

If I look on the memorycard. I see the map folder. Inside the mapfolder it has a .meta and a .meta.dct file

So I assume it is patched but still it doesnt work.

Delete the DCT files and try again with the current version of FastActivate.
If a DCT file is present FA will not overwrite it, so in case your DCT files are incorrect it is an easy fix.
The Navcore is patched, so it only leaves the map as the cause of the problem.

Confirm that your rider v1 memory is SD/SDHC card only. No internal memory.
