I am completely new to this.. i downloaded the 8.5 verrsion north america maps and i also downloaded Tomtom Keygen 2009. I put both foldera in c drive. Now i am confused how to proceed. Can some one guide me how to proceed. My device is TomTom Go910 which has 2007 maps in it. I want to upgeade to the new ones now.

Copy the Navcore & only the SE ttsystem File from the rar into your 910, overwriting any common files.
Remove the old map folder & copy in the new.
Replace the meta.txt in the keygen folder with the attached one in this post.
Run 4.1D "Make map keys". Disregard any corrupt messages. DONE!!__________________

Still i am not successed yet may be i am doing some thing wrong.This is what i have done as you instructed if i understood wrong.Please excuse me for my poor english.

Step1)I connected my TTGo 910 to my computer(Win Seven OS) and i see the TomTOm as a drive.

Step2) As you know TomTom Go910 has 20 GB Hard drive in it.I backed up the whole Tomtom Drive into my computer which is 15 GB coz i have mp3 songs in the TOmTOm thats why it is 15 GB

Step3) After the backup completed i left the TOmTOm still Connected to the computer.

Step4)I downloaded Navcore from this link

and i created a folder in my Desktop and unrar the file in the same folder.

Step5)I downloaded Pre-patched ttsystem file 9.053- GO 750 - GO 950 from this link: [Please Register or Login to download file]

I created second Folder in my desktop and unrar the pre-patched ttsystem file.

Step6) Now i Copied the unrared files from the step4 and i opened the tomtom drive and pasted. Then system displayed the message ,,,, then i overwritted with the copied file.

Step7) Now i copied the unrared files from the step5 and i opened the tomtom drive and pasted. Then system displayed the message ,,,, then i overwritted with the copied file.

Step8)I already have downloaded mapNorth_America_850.2781 into my desktop

Step9) I Opened the TomTom drive and pointed the North_America Folder and Deleted.

Step10)I copied the North_America_850.2781 folder from my desk tip and pasted in my TOmTOm Drive.

Step11) I changed the folder name from North_America_850.2781 TO just North_Americai did this thinking that the folder name has to be the same as the deleted one in the step9.

Step12)I downloaded TOmTom Keygen 2009 from http://www.navitotal.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=114&d=1273939348

I created another Folder in my desktop and unrar the TomTom Keygen 2009 file.

Step13)Now i downloaded meta850 rar from the link

Step14)I opened the unrared keygen2009 folder i noticed three files in the folder which are CRC.exe,Lngset.ini and meta.txt

Step16)I opend the Meta850 which is unrared in the step13 and copied the file and pasted in the keygen2009 folder.

Step17)Now i noticed in the keygen2009 folder 4 files snd i deleted the old meta.txt file now i am back to 3 files
Note: I did not rename the meta850.txt

Step18) Now i double clicked on CRC.exe
then a small window poped up saying Run-time error 53 File not Found.

I am stuck at this point. Please help me to correct my mistake where i did wrong.
Sorry for the long explanation i just want to find out where i have done wrong.
And i forgot to mention i have TomTOm Home2 installed in my computer too if this thing has any thing to do with the error message?? (just a concern.)

Click Tomtom4.exe, not CRC.exe

Hi Tendriver,

I don't see the TomTOm4.exe i think my antivirus software removed it. so what i did is i disabled the Antivirus and extracted the file again now i see the tomtom4.exe. And i copied the meta850.txt in the folder and deleted the meta.txt and double clicked on Tomtom4.exe then i got this error.

TomTomKeygen:

Component 'MSINET.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered:a file is missing or invalid

Right click Tomtom4.exe & run as Administrator.

Currently i plugged my TomTom Go910 device to my computer but my TomTom device is not showing me anything like connect to my computer, nor i see tomtom device in my computer.computer not detected the tomtom device. ?

try a hard reset

A hard reset = pressing in the reset button on the back of the case for 30 seconds.

I tried the hard reset. Still the same.It restarts ans stops at the main screen saying TOM TOM. Nothing happening after that. Still device is not detecting in my computer.
i hope i did not break my GPS.
