Help needed/sat nav, on my car head unit, won't find satelli

iv recently bought a head unit for my car, with satnav functions, but, i dont know how to get the program on. its called a Caska 3638. its i direct replacement for the standard head unit on an 07 astra vxr. i want to put a tomtom setup on it but have no idea how to, can anybody help

Hi - Search for the Astra Owners Net Forum - you'll find all the info you need. Those units can take a variety of software.

sat nav on my car head unit, wont find sattalites

how do i get my unit to find sats? its runnin tomtom navi 6.

Either it needs an aerial or the GPS settings are not set correctly, Does it say "No GPS Device" or "Waiting for GPS signal..."

thanks macca, im a member of astra owners network. but i cant get the help i need on there lol. and it says "waiting gps signal" iv tried the igo8 software that was provided with the unit, aswell as the tomtom 6 software, but cant get signal on either. its got me soonfused, im a rookie wen it comes to technology haha

These in-dash units often need an external aerial.

i have a external reciever placed next to my rear view nirror. iv been told that it might be the ports and baud rate! what ever that is haha
