I upgraded my Tom Tome ONE XL-S to version 9.205. Using map 885.4094

Now my Tom Tom says Demo and will not get position. Anything I can do to get it to find position?

Is this on your unit or TT Home "Operate my device"?

Both. I even unhooked it and took it outside and still says that demo when you click the sattelite status bars.

I guess I'll reinstall the Navicore when I get home

I restored my device using the backup I had made in TomTom home and still no GPS reception. I used the QuickGPS fix but it didn't help me get reception. Once it seems I ran the file:

GlobalLocate_TomTOm.exe and I got reception in TomTom home but when I rebooted my device not connected to my PC I didn't have service. Is there anything I need to do besides copying the files to the

I:/ephem/ folder

So i'm back on Navicore 8.010 (which is fine)
I'm using the stock v715.1712 map (which I will update shortly since I've dloaded 885.4093 from here

BUT when tomtom isn't connected to PC it won't get satelite gps signal. When its connected to TomTom home it will?

In Home it only simulates, so no real reception possible.
Use the NC of your choice and copy the working folder "ephem" from your backup to the device - confirm to overwrite.
You now use the GPS files from the working version and should get a fix without problems.

I used TomTom Home to do the backup and I restored and still no reception :(

2. and I restored and still no reception :(

1. We never use TT Home for backups. Copy & Paste is the preferred method.
2. You might have misunderstood Downunder's suggestion in post 9. He wanted you to only copy the "ephem" folder from your working backup into your desired navcore.
