Instruction 2 would be a good place to start.

#2 states FA should be in root directory. I had read someplace that it could also be run from within the map folder. Nevertheless I copied to root and ran the program. I get the same negative results.

At first I could not find a dct file as none was listed as such using explorer. I used another search and found the file and going back to explorer found it by seeing properties of certain files. The one I am referring to is related to adobe illustrated......is that the one.

So yes, I do have the dct file but the result is the same.................the device does not recognize the map.

pls adv

Big thumbs up guys...

All went smooth and as planned updated 4 tomtom XL's running navicore 9.1 from Australian map Version 8.55.2884 to 8.65.3245.
All instructions were perfect. It's great when things are clearly documented and the programs work as expected.

hi,
i have downloaded these maps Western_Europe_1GB_865_3259 for tomtom XL IQ routes edition. Once i have extracted the maps is it just a case of copying the Europe_West_865_3244 folder over to the tomtom(obviousley while connected to pc) and putting the FastActivate_Premium_Edition_v1.8.6.5_ into the root of the tomtom and running it ?? any help appreciated
