Device with a docking station in the car, the ones with the many connectors, indeed can work with the headlights.
But as pointed out it depends on the emulation too.
If it is not working in the correct emu for the device than I would assume the cradle is not connected to the headlights but only as a charger.
Using the X20 or X30 emulation should cure that.

Okay, I was working with your fabulous Universal installer and the default skin/emulation of the 9.510 navcore on a old and bulky GO 700.
I should've added these data in my first post.

What emu is it defaulted to?

I don't know but it must default to something since I did not deploy the skin chooser.
