I have a go 730 with an SD card running navcore 9510. I loaded map 1045.10045, activated it and when I tried to run it a received the errror i can't use this map on this device? I then tried using 1045.10007 and received the same error. I was using map 1000.8642 previously and it worked fine. Are the latest maps incompatible with the older devices?

You didn't say exactly which map you're talking about but I assume it already has a meta code as you say it activated?

Yes, the latest maps are compatible with older devices providing you have NC 9.510 or above installed (btw, your Go 730 should be using NC 9.541 now as detailed below)

Anyway, make sure you have a copy of ttgo.bif (copied from the internal drive) on the SD card and try again...what is the result?

The maps are:
USA_Canada_1045_10007 and USA_Canada_and_Mexico_1045_10045

Meta appears ok and it updates with fast activate, after activation fast activate reports .dct is ok.
I have the ttgo file in the root of the internal memory and the root of the sd card. One thing I did
notice is the current map and current map version lines in both ttgo files remained blank after activation?
I tried running it with the ttgo file and fast activate in the map folder instated of the sd card root and it
made no difference? The reason I'm using nav 9510 is I like the auto off function.

Try patching the navcore again (FA option 3)

Did that as well, might have to reload the navcore, basically start over?

Try a hard reset either via a pin hole on the device or by holding down the power button for an extended time.
