Cannot Patch Tom Tom Home

Postby itilley » Sun May 23, 2010 10:23 pm

Using the TomTom keygen from the site I have been trying to patch Tomtom Home.
My Tomtom is a 920T and have installed the latest map Western Europe 845.2645.
The map all works with no problems.
The Navcore is the original 8.351.9982
The Keygen says that I have the wrong OS System.
Unfortunately I lost the original backup last year when upgrading to Windows 7.
Another fault I found is that I cannot play any music files from the SD card in the slot and all the Icons to play music are grayed out. I have checked and I still have the MP3D file on the sysem.
Can anybody help recover and solve the problems?

Unzip & copy the attachment here:

Windows 7
C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\TomTom\HOME\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default\extensions\[email protected]

That should take care of your OS issue.

you should get NavCore 9.051!

You'd get a nicer look & feel out of yourTomTom menu

and you'd have the Music JukeBox Feature to play MP3's

Do you have a folder in your device root called "mp3" and your mp3s must be in this folder ;)

Tendriver - your answer solved the Home Issue. Is that a later issue of the Tomtom home Navcore accesability in Home? Great to see you back on a Gps forum as you have always been a great help to all. Thanks again.

No there was no folder on the root and this cured the problem. So I still dont know why I was able to play MP3s previously from an SD card before the map update or perhaps it was upgrading to win7???
Thanks for your help.

Great. No, it was just a copy my patched 8.351 .dll file. Thanx for the kind comment.
