Any Quick Step Guide(s) for installing navcores, maps??

Postby TRUCKERDAZZ » Thu Sep 30, 2010 9:50 am

Hello!!
I have mangaed to get my ttgo730 working with a new navcore and maps/voices/cams but tried to do the same for a friend and it has not worked?? I think it was just pure luck that i got my tt to work so i was wondering if anyone could just help me with a few steps.....

I've downloaded the relevant core & maps and fastactivate and i want to put these onto an SDHC card (4gb Class 4). this is what ive done so far...

1...Extracted Navcore to SD card
2...Extracted Maps to SD card
3...Copied Fastactivate to ROOT of SD card
4...Run fastactivate..clicked each button in turn (however can't find ttgo.bif file)
NOW I'M STUCK!!
I know at some stage i input the Device No. and fast activate appeared to have worked (apart from the above). I can't for the life of me remember what i originally done and in what order as now when i insert the SD card into the tt...it appears to start up and then switches off!!???????
I'm trying to install TTTruck onto an SD card for a TTone XL. I have installed a new bootloader to the ttoneXL (5.5128) which has worked!! Help Anyone PLease?????

To create the ttgo.bif file needed for the keygens , insert the sdhc card into the tomtom and turn on then turn back off this is when that file is created, or you could copy it from a backup.

What navcore are you installing ? is there a AutoInstaller available here http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?2831-TomTom-Automatic-Navcore-Installation You might find it easyer to install ;)

Please ask if you got more questions

thanks
djc

EDIT : Here are the steps to take here

  • Copy your navcore .cab to your sd card root
  • Copy your SE ttsystem to your sd card root
  • Copy your map folder to your sd card root
  • Copy your ttgo.bif file to your root or insert sd card into device turn on then off
  • Copy AutoActivate to your sd card root and run the .exe file
  • Done

I have followed the steps above and all seems well?? I don't have my friends nav here at the mo, but i did have a copy of his ttgo.bif so copied that to the root, ran autoactivate and ok upto now...... ive plugged it back into my pc (SD card) and tthome has loaded up and its done a quick update and ive tried to "operate" the ttom from the options as its only the SD card inserted. It now doesn't recognise any voices (I created a voice file and put it in the root - with voice files) and also it says "No Map Found"?? what else do i need to do?? its tttruck core & maps by the way (8.395_1913 & 845_2649)

You can not use tthome "operate my device" feature with the truck navcores as there is no home .dll available
