We only recommend a format if you have file system errors or lost sectors.
If you don't have a brand new device you will have to pay for the new map in Home, but just in case check it.
Please try again using the latest version of FastActivate from here: :link:
If your Navcore is already patched and a valid ttgo.bif is in the root of your device all should go well after updating the meta.txt .

No, the map is included in the install.exe. Did you read "Screenshots and some explanations" in post 1?

Ok.. thank you for the activator. I have Navigator 7.918 successfully installed and I installed and activated the North America map on my Tytn.. it shows the .dct meta file. It is installed on the root of my SD card. I also have the free download city map for Detroit installed (no comments, please) and it works fine, but is installed (by TomTom) in my My Documents file..but the NA map is not recognized. What am I missing? Do I need to move it to the same folder? Does Navigator need patching to recognize additional maps?

Thanks in advance for any help.

If the map that you downloaded was/is titled North America XXXXX, it is not compatible with your Navigator 7.918.

Hello,

I have a small (general) question concerning what to do with FastActivator. Do I understand correctly that with these downloads it will start on its own after the map has been installed? If not, it should be run from the root of the TomTom folder? And when its running, you should only click the first 2 buttons if you install the map on the original NavCore? Or do you still have to click on all 4 buttons?

Thanks for your time!

870 is the current map edition. Go here: All New Maps 870.XXXX Scroll down to Automatic Installer & Patcher Instructions Read the instructions. Scroll down to the map of your choice & select the Automatic Installer & Patcher version.

Thanks, would be smart to use the current map obviously :P so if I understand correctly, you need to click on all 4 buttons. (I thought the ttsystem button might only be used to patch a new NavCore version, but thats not the case then).

Click the first 2 buttons, if your navcore & TT Home have already been patched. If they are not patched, then click all 4 buttons.
