Go 730 - need help

I am now very confused and do not know anymore what is right and what is wrong.
Is it possible to do this and that works?
I am very grateful to the help provided so far, but if you have a patient may have to begin from scratch and to find errors.
Thank you in advance!

Certainly it will work. I have no problem with starting over. It won't be the first or last time. Take your unit back to a working set up, & we will go from there. I only have two requests. Don't try anything on your own & follow my instructions only.

Thanks to the post, will try it, but now I'm waiting on "tendriver" post because I promised him that I would not do anything without him.
I have to see what new maps to use, I have to start from scratch!

Can you tell which card to use I downloaded "Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB_850_2820" and "Western_Central_Europe_2GB_850.2801" but now no longer know which to use. Perhaps a third?
Do you have any suggestions?

1. You didn't honor my request.
2. you got the above message because you tried to patch the ttsystem file, which you should not do. You have a PRE-PATCHED ttsystem file.

Maybe I should download the map first if you think it right for my tomom.

• Do a Backup before attempting any upgrade using windows explorer and always check your bootloader version if it is a 1x bootloader do not go any further consult a member of the TomTom team here first.
• Connect the device to your pc and format it
• Download [Please Register or Login to download file] and copy the complete contents to your device.
• Download SE_ttsystem.9.026.483454 and copy the ttsystem file to your device overwriting when prompted
• Download your required map I will use the next map as an example you change it to whatever map you require [Please Register or Login to download file]
• When downloaded extract the files to a folder in the root of your device named [Please Register or Login to download file] .
• Download and extract Keygen 4.1D to a folder on your PC
• Download [Please Register or Login to download file] meta.txt and copy it to your keygen folder overwrighting when prompted
• In the keygen folder run this file “Tomtom4.exe” (If you use vista or Win7, Right click and run as admin), In the keygen press button “Make map keys” > “Create DCT’s” This will write a .dct for all maps/voices/cams ect on your device.
• Shut down the keygen, Disconnect device, Reeboot device and you will have a working unit ;)

I did it, but I get the same problem that the screen freezes, and tomtom turns off.
