Thu Apr 19, 2012 12:42 am

Hello to you all, I bought a tomtom go 720 with navcore 9.430 I installed a map 885 and work very well except the bluetooth which after a very brief research (not even one second) tells me that found no phones, with a red screen, I tried with all available navcores in tomtom home but still the same problem, that's two days that I try without success, Help pleas and thank you in advance.

Are you putting your phone in "Discover mode", before searching for it?

yes I tried it, and with several other phones and it is the same result, the GPS stops the search as soon begun, and displays an error.

Are you running a SE or DSA version of 9.430?

How did you patch 9.430 to run your 885 map?

OK, I used Easy actvator as usual, it never caused me a problem!

1. What is the error message?
2. There is nothing wrong with using EA. I was looking for a reason for your problem.

Was it working before?
What changed on the device between the working state and now?
If you recently bought it as it is I suspect faulty hardware.

I have not tried before, I just changed the screen and everything went well, finaly I think it's probably a hardware problem because I tried to detect it by phone but without result, thank you very much for your help.

I did a test "detect BT" to compare to your attempts. My x20 unit searched for 10 seconds, followed by "Bluetooth device No Bluetooth devices found". I agree with Downunder's suspicion.

Just a thought guys. I tried 9.430 on my Go 530 and couldn't get the BT to work - it wouldn't detect anything.
Reverted back to 9.026 and BT works fine as it did before.
Might be worth trying another NC?

It depends on where you acquired the navcores.
