TT 720 Navcore 9.702 Truck should I delete "system" file?

Postby roydrage » Sun Aug 11, 2019 1:13 pm

My current bootloader is 5.5120. Is there anything gained from the included 5.5279 in the TT official GO 9.702 package or should I just remove the "system" file and copy the rest to the SD?

Holyhead is the bootloader expert...you can always upgrade the bootloader later on if it's necessary but for now you can remove it and copy the rest to the SD

Works a treat on a 720 just as it's supposed to.
ttgo.bif:
DeviceName=TomTom GO 720
DeviceVersionHW=GO 720
DeviceSerialNumber=M6xxxxxxxxxx
BootLoaderVersion=55120
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=9702
ApplicationVersion=1512362.1
CurrentMap=Europe_TRUCK_1030_9533
CurrentMapVersion=1030.9533
Map(s):
E:\Europe_TRUCK_1030_9533\
Storage:
Size 30412MB, Free 25443MB.
Phone works, the navcore is not laggy. I have not tried the TMC receiver yet but will do today.
Out of my five TT, I have left what I expect to be the disappointment until last, a TT 710. I used to persevere with various Truck navcore builds on the 710 and never had much luck, reboots, not powering off.
If you had a 710 and was too fond to take it to the recycle centre what configuration would you try?

Edited for worse than bad grammar.
