Go 520 Truck Maps....

Fri Jun 10, 2011 9:53 pm

I know i must be being dense....but i can't seem to find an easily accessible guide that details how to install the truck maps onto a SD card?

I have done it previously, a few years back, but it appear the card is knackered...so i intend to reformat it, but need to how to get the maps etc back once that is done?

Also, where do i find these "cracker" tools that i read about?

My other option is to simply upgrade my UK maps to the latest version....i have the latest navcore apparently.

Sorry for being such a newbie!

1. No guide required. Erase the card, but do not format it. Download Europe_Truck_870.3421 Unzip it & copy the unzipped map folder & a copy of your device's ttgo.bif file to your card. You will also need to copy the lastest Truck Navcore 8.398.1917 to your card. [Please Register or Login to download file]

2. FastActivate ENG 29.05.2011 {1.8.7.0} Read the instructions carefully. Select the premium version.

Not quite TD; by downloading from that ttsweet link you don't get everything on the card (like most of the folders etc) which is fine if you're overwriting a full navcore but not for a clean SD card, hence my full dump which includes everything req'd.

Sorry BD, I don't recommend using your dump. At 205 MB, it is too bloated with junk.

Apart from celebrity voices it's "just" a full copy of everything req'd apart from the map folder itself and as I say, the ttsweet stuff ONLY has the extra 8.398 stuff to add/overwrite to another navcore so cannot work on its own

Correct. As it says, this an encrypted (dlc) link to download the file from Fileserve which you should use Jdownloader (do a search) to do

Yep....got it now.

I take it i just need to get the map?

Also, how do i "patch" the maps.....Fastactivate seems to be missing the .exe bit when i extract it......and Autoactivate doesn't seem to see the SD card in the TT....just sees the internal memory.

Assuming you copied yout ttgo.bif across to the SD card, just use a card reader rather than in the device

BD, neither of your statements are corrrect & you know it!!!!!!

1. The only thing required are the .cab files.
2. The .cab has all the files/folders it needs to work on it's own.
3. I do not give our members bad info.

Sat Jun 11, 2011 7:00 pm
