Hello,
the volume settings are found in the sys.txt file in the root directory of the device, in a section headed [sound]. If sys.txt does not exist, or does not contain a [sound] section it is a simple matter to create or add it. The settings themselves look like this..
[sound]
alert_volume=50 ;(0-255) Alert Beeps
ding_volume=50 ;(0-255) Ding
effect_volume=50 ;(0-255) Key Click
os_volume=200 ;(0-255) Master
sound_volume=200 ;(0-255) Music
voice_volume=250 ;(0-255) Voice
this is a list of all the settings available for WinCE Primo, if your software is different there may be others not listed here.
Each setting can be any number between 0 and 255 placed immediately after the = symbol. The ones I have listed are simply examples of how they should look.
Only the settings you want to retain need to be included in sys.txt
If you use a tts voice then the setting you will need is voice_volume=, I'm not certain if it is the same for non-tts.
Bon chance
Richard
