Volume Problem on Nexus 7 and Smart Route Data Inactive

Have you tried the [Please Register or Login to download file] and used the IVONA voices (or some othe Android TTS voices)?
As they come directly from the Android system and not from within Primo it might make a difference.
Since Google claimed to have fixed the BT bug with the 4.2.2 release I only see Primo itself left for the problem if nothing else works.
Have you tried a different GPS software to compare?

I reckon you're right about the problem basically being Primo's, not helped by Google getting rid of the Navigation volume setting. The combo is a killer. I've tried your suggestions above and the voice file you helpfully posted, but it's still the same. Roll on Key Lime Pie and an official Android release from Igo. At least then we can moan at Igo and get them to fix it properly.

Thanks for the help and the discussion guys.

Hurrah and all Hail Lesscro! He has come up with the solution to this problem and I tested it and can confirm it works. Add the following to your sys.txt to get Igo to use the music audio stream to announce navigation.

[android]
navigation_audio_stream=3

The 3 selects the music stream. Other streams are available by using these values:

STREAM_ALARM - Value: 4
STREAM_DTMF - Value: 8
STREAM_MUSIC - Value: 3
STREAM_NOTIFICATION - Value: 5
STREAM_RING - Value: 2
STREAM_SYSTEM - Value: 1
STREAM_VOICE_CALL - Value: 0

Can't tell you how good it is to have music and Nav at the same time again. All credit goes to Lesscro, this is his discovery, I'm just spreading the word.

Thanks for the confirmation Baluba, I know it works for me but I'm glad to hear it's helping others too. I spent so much time trying to chase this one down :D Lesscro is awesome.

Yes, Lesscro is awesome :). I have installed also the Nexus Louder mode, it improves the sound quality and even the internal speaker volume, and now it works for IGO also. If you ever need an even louder sound can try a BT speaker. I use this model from eBay (different seller, but it looks like the one I bought it does not have the same model):

On Nexus 7 once you pair it remembers so you don't need to pair it every time. The speaker has a battery but also takes 5V via USB so you can keep it in the car close to cigarette lighter . It does not have a volume control (there are models with volume). The speaker is MUCH louder than internal ones, however, and with the lesscro fix it works as suppose to.
