You have to replace the iGO completely. Copy it to a safe spot first !!! Download Primo and replace iGO with it. See te folder and .exe name are identical to the old iGO, fil the content with maps. Start up and do the settings.

Thanks for responding to my request bazzle.
My car navi unit its an a8 samsung (dual 1ghz processor with 512 mhz ram) so I think is appropriate for a more recent navi program.

Thanks for the reply nabi.
Now I have only an empty class 10 8gb sdhc card.
I was thinking about downloading Yurbuh Tuggly iGo primo 2.4 and follow all the installing instruction.
What do you think?
Do you have a better idea?
Please let me know.

In fact, I suggest that you - for now - stick to Yurbuhs excellent and stable Primo 2.0. There is a torrent link in the program section.
Know that newer 2.0 builds are available, but those builds do not include really new features or improvements. The newer ones are adaptions to specific devices. Maybe the so called 2.4 is too?

About 2.4: I have tested 2.4 and I can say a few things about it. First, the real difference with 2.0 is not that important. A settings button in a different screen, the possibility to choose between POI sets (by maker) and possible some minor other changes. Important may be that a truck driver posted that despite the repeated crashes he experienced (!!) he still prefers 2.4 for the better truck (and thus likewise vehicles) routing.

My experience? I used 2.4 last week on a +200 km trip and I can say that (with the exception of a crash choosing a POI (parking) near my destination) 2.4 performed very well. But it's that crash that bothers me. It simply does not happen using 2.0.

Thus (my 2 cts), 2.4 is simply not yet recommendable because it's not stable enough. Maybe it depends on the device or on some setting or ... There are some flaws that you maybe never experience or experience continuously. You can try it, however.

thanks again nabi for your support.
i'm not so addicted to special new features and little improvements or whatsoever so I'll rather chose the 2.0 stable version instead of the newer 2.4
thanks again for your help

I agree. Nothing really new in the 2.4 worth worrying about other than its the "latest" but not necessarily better.

I use 9.6.5.245577 Primo executable with nil issues. Yurbuhs is 9.6.5.211211. Ive used it too with no differences to be seen :)

Thanks for sharing your experience bazzle.
I install the yurbuhs version today (2.0) and load in the contents folder the maps, buildings, pois... of the iGo R3 that were of the Q3 2012. When I inserted the sd card and started the unit it starts installing and I choose the general settings without a fault (at least the unit didn't gave any alert). After installing process ends I tried navigating. When I started navigation it gave me no satellite signal and was stuck in an ex Soviet state road (I guess) and keeps searching for signal for about 5 min. I press the antenna icon and it says 0 satellites.
When I check signal manually out of the navi it says gps ok and gave me the coordinates.

Any help in this?

Thanks again bazzle

You need to enter your GPS settings in the sys.txt

Delete save folder.
In sys.txt remove any ref to gps ports . put an ; in front.

IF you know your port number and baud and it still doesnt work add them there.

example:
[gps]
port="2"
baud="9600"

Thanks bazzle. As soon as I return home I'll try the settings. I don't really know what's the port and boud but I will try.
If I had any more trouble I'll bother you again ;).
