I still don't know what controls those warning. They are not those under TTS Pro for Alert Points

Alert points are speedcams. I think they are warning signs, in sounds and warnings

This is interesting and I'm hoping to get some insight on what the "normal" TTS alert is in Primo2.4. I'm using the standard English Primo 2.4 that was distributed here in the forums with USA 2013 maps, modified with a data.zip to prevent a bug that would shut the program down on "avoid routes", on my 800x480 Eonon GPS car unit. The sys.txt was left at default in this distribution, with the TTS_Pro (correct me if I'm wrong) voices included. It's working out really well, thanks to those who packaged it.

I am positive that my alerts are working, for instance when I take a sharp turn, I hear the sound warning & I see the warning sign displayed on the left side of the unit. My question is if TTS actually says something verbally like "Sharp Turn Ahead: Caution." On my unit, it doesn't do this, but is it supposed to have a verbal prompt if my settings are enabled?

I also saw a new TTS_Pro update for Primo 2.x couple of days ago and want to experiment with it as well. For what it's worth, when I was experimenting with TTS US voices by Zervdim with another Primo2.4 distribution found elsewhere, I had to add all the possible alerts to my sys.txt.

An example alert to add to the sys.txt as stated by Zervdim is as follows:

[speedcam_category:20]
activated_spoken_type=speech
activated_speech="Caution dangerous Turn"
approach_beep_spoken_type=0
approach_beep_speech=0
approach_beep_sound=0
overspeed_spoken_type=0
overspeed_speech=0
overspeed_sound=0
warn_distances="0:500"

But this unfortunately didn't work. Do you guys have some sort of verbal warnings besides the verbal speed limit warning telling you to slow down? Thanks in advance for any reply.

First of all, Zervdim's voice package has produced nothing but trouble for MANY people. You can now count yourself among them. AFAIK, map warnings are usually included in the maps themselves by the map makers. It's the speedcams that we can modify.

There are several factors that control driver alert warnings...

Please note I'm using primo 2 with dimka skin, some settings may be moved, or may not be available with other configurations.

Go to settings, warning sign alerts, warning sign alerts (should be checked)
Also go to settings, tts pro, read out da signs (should be checked)

Also you need the .fda file in the map folder
And you need a voice.zip that contains the dictionary.voice file
