TTS - adaptation to AMIGO/PRIMO

Wed Sep 22, 2010 8:23 pm

a quick question to the forum experts:

I have an IGO-8 which runs on my C310X and C320 just fine.

As I upgraded to AMIGO/PRIMO, I found out that all is OK except TTS
functionality is not workingl.

This means that when I choose the voice where it's indicated that "street names
are announced", nothing is being heard.

I've read the excellent page by Nabi about TTS and all that is required to
make it run, and as far as I checked I have everything set including the
special DLL files and the actual voice files as well as the required lines in
sys.txt file. All files are located were they should be. I even tried to use
the same files from the IGO-8 version, without success so far.

I'd appriciate any tips/suggestions/ideas on how to resolve this.

Thank you,
Danny

Thank you, Chas521

for your speed lightning response.
I'm going to read this and will come up with more questions if something stays unclear.

By the way, I don't have any info.ini file on my system. Where should it reside?
Are there any more lines in the file besides what you indicated?

Thank you,
Danny
