Glad to hear that. What program version are you using?

Looking at the About Screen, its NavNGo Igo 8 8.3.5.183522

Its a bit slow at getting the spoken directions out, but, I think that has to do with the GPS, and nothing with the program..

I don't understand about removing the sys.txt. What's the story? Because you removed the TTS section [?] might be a reason you're getting a delay of sorts.

I found the issue.. It had to all do with the Folder selection..
For some reason, %folder% didn't translate on this GPS.. I removed it, and everything has worked just fine.
I also had to change the screen resoluation to 480-272, and that worked.. I think I can move it to 480-320 without issues.
But for now.. thats where I'm at.

Everything working fine now.. Even the TTS is a bit better, after putting Q4 maps on, and adding that modified sys.txt.
I also found a 2gig 60x SD card laying around, and copied everything to it.

Glad to hear that things are better now but I'm still confused. MY program is setup for resolution 480_272 so what did you change and to what? Never heard of 480_320. Is that correct?

Might of had that confused with the other Igo I was running at one time.. it had something BIG for resolution.. like 800x600...

As for the 480_320, just a guess.. not sure, but I think a 4x3 screen should be able to handle a bit bigger resolution than 272

Not necessarily true. 4X3 screen probably is 480_272. It can also possibly be 320_240.

EDIT: 800_480. I think you measure diagonally.

FWIW:
A screen on a GPS device is not like a computer screen/display (suitable for multiple resolutions). It is what it is manufactured to be...not more, not less.
You cannot push a 480x272 to 800x480. That would be adding pixels that do not physically exist. Even though two screens might both be 5 inches (diagonally), one can be 480x272 and one can be 800x480, but the one that is manufactured to be 480x272 can never be 800x480.
If you try, one of a few things will happen:
The program will crash.
The screen will look all funky.
Or in the worst case (with a cheap and poorly manufactured unit) the screen will flash all white, then black, and never come on again.

Sometimes, a sys.txt command such as stretch=1 works to increase the screen size of a resolution but it is sort of a crapshoot and may not give a desired result.

Yes, but that is to stretch something out to what the screen is.
Such as a data.zip that does not contain an 800x480 for a device that has that resolution...so you 'stretch' the 480x272 in the data.zip to display on an 800x480 screen.
And yes, that usually looks bad anyway.
But you still cannot exceed the resolution that the screen was made to be and expect it to display anywhere near normally.
