Is there a manual for Primo anywhere?

Postby sbi » Thu Oct 07, 2010 5:25 pm

I know there are manuals for 8 and 8.3, but couldn't see any for the Primo.

Thanks.

The manual is incorporated in the software.

In the Demo? How do I get to it?

Maybe you can tell me what this is, that's why I am looking for the manual.
It counts up and down, normally when I start a trip, there is an icon next to it, similar to a stop watch, and then it disappears.

Thanks.

No, I mean in menu - more - help, second item is the manual.
But in my data.zip, it's disabled.
Could it be the time to next turn?

Maybe, but I don't think so because at some point it just disappears.

That would just be a reason the more why I think it is

So why wouldn't it show up later before the next turn?

Better start by telling us when it shows up.
And it would be interesting to know your setup (Primo build/resolution/...)

That is time to next manouver (minutes and seconds), it only shows up when you are a certain time away from the next instruction.

Thanks. It is just that ther is no logic behind this. What's "next manouver"?! And why is it not consistent?
I had to today driving from work back home (no, I am not one of those who use it every dat from home to the office, I am testing the Primo :-) ), and it did show up when I got on the highway and made a little logic with what you say, which was time until I get off the highway, but why doesn't it show it all the time? Like after I got off the highway to the next turn?

Not sure "when" it shows up, it is random.
I am using C320, 480x272, Primo 8.5.9.142948. TA maps Q2/2010.

Next maneuver must be clear. The next turn or roundabout.
Why it's not consistent you should ask the programmers. Maybe because the space for it is limited ? (9:59 max ?) Is it in seconds or minutes
I even never noticed it's there. Maybe I disabled it? Or I just did not pay attention to it.

Yes you can. Since my res is 320*240, it's a changed Amigo data.gro and a fake GJ skin I am using.
Thus I can't be sure what is in Primo originally and what is not, neither what is in original Gurjon.

Not sure if you are still interersted but it is fairly simple to get the [Please Register or Login to download file] working.
All you have to do is unzip the tutorialxxxx.zip for your language - located in "content/tutorial". if you dont have that folder download the above Password : downunder
Once you unzipped your language tutorial you will find a folder "tutorial" and the file "content.ngg".
Go into the folder "tutorial" and rename the folder 480_272 to the resolution you use on your device.
After that go into that folder and open the file "content.ini" with Notepad++
Use the search and replace funtion to change all the 480_272 with your screen resolution.
Save the file.
Use Winzip to pack all files and folders back into a zip file with the same name as the original - replace on your device and enjoy the tutorial under "help".

In case our Nabi thinks that is too handy to miss out on I might be willing to adjust the english tutorial to some of the most common screen resolutions and upload them.
