Speed limit of nearby roads interfering

Postby jimjones666 » Fri Sep 27, 2013 7:53 am

Using: iGo-Primo 2.4-9.6.13
Any one else have the problem of incorrect speed limit when going under a bridge with another road on top of you or a off road with a different speed limit. I have noticed it pickups these roads speed limits and I get a warning to slow down even though I'm not speeding. Is there a solution to avoid this?

I've also noticed this a few times in maybe 2 different places. I don't think there is a fix to this..

Most GPS software will snap you on to the nearest road to your actual position, when you have roads that are close to each other this sometimes means flipping between them.

That's a pity because it is annoying. Perhaps next version they will write into the software to ignore overpasses when approaching form a cretin direction or get the program to be smarter as to what road it is on.

I turn off the audio speeding warning and use the flashing icon instead.
Not all maps are 100% accurate or is the gps signal. If you watch the dot behind the position symbol you may see it move all over the place. Thats where the gps thinks you are. The software does a good job of keeping you locked to the nearest road.

yes I notice the delay with the signal, I have passed speed signs that say 70 and it tells me its a 60 zone because there is a slight lag in the GPS and speed limit change on program.
Thanks for the tip about the flashing icon but I like the audio so I can have my eyes on the road as much as possible, that's where they should be.
