You don't need them in primo if you have TTS installed, the TTS announcements go something like "In xxx yards, speed camera, 40 miles per hour", using a skin like Dimka will give you more options to play with.

You can ask as many questions as you like.

And, in addition to what FBF said, keep in mind speedcam vocal alerts do not work in simulation...only live on the road with a satellite lock.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

As long as it's a TTS voice, yes.

Yes if you use the voices referred to in post one, these are recorded voices though, so they won't match the navigation voice.

[Please Register or Login to download file]

Scroll down to the speed camera voices, download the ultra voice pack for your region, follow the installation instructions, note: you must use a compatible skin like Dimka, kikker3.2 or gja.

FYI, I've done this audio thing from the Dimka site and I'm using Kikker 3.2. However, it doesn't seem to work with Kikker. Maybe only Dimka? If you know something I don't please post it. Thanks. I did this: audio\us\all the files from the download.
If it ain't broke don't fix it!

Please do NOT post any thanks. Simply press the hand icon with the "thumb up" which is the thank you button.

hi
will the ultra voices work with P1.1 GJA skins?
if they do, does the audio file go onto the root of the SD card or in content?

The Audio folder (containing a voice_female folder, a voice_male folder, a voice_file_structure.txt file and a voice_sound_delays.ini file) needs to be in the iGO8 root folder, next to the content folder.

With the kikker skin loaded, go to...

Menu -> Settings -> Warnings -> Speed Camera Warning and tick the box.

You can tap the [...] box to go to the Speed Camera Settings, On this screen i have...

Audible Warning = Off
Visible Warning = On
Voice Alert = Female
Beep While Approaching = Ticked
Audible Alert Distance = 500m

On page 2, there is a volume control and options to test the voices.

There are no special sys.txt entries.
