I've seen articles before and they come up on ebay occasionally, but i've never seen an actual device though.

A bit of research shows that it's easy to unlock and install iGO but gaining access to the GPS hardware is tricky, But not impossible.

Got primo running on my sony nav 93 ok, but getting it to detect a satellite is the tricky bit.

Seen posts on the web of people saying they have got it fully running on a sony but no-one has posted how.

Mr Fatboyfun, can you give me any pointers??? Please....

Arhh just seen your postings on another thread, will have a look at that, thanks

this is how I get it run.
open "Mounted Volume \ Primo (or iGO8)

data.zip, then open the \ config \ devices,

insert this file navu.ini
[interface]
resolution_dir="480_272"
vga=0
shutdown_time=0

[rawdisplay]
class="landscape"
screen_x=480
screen_y=272

[debug]
skip_eula=1
enable_roadshadow=1

[map]
auto_nightmode=0

[msnd]
msnd.start=0

[tts]
always_say_road_names=1
announce_street_name=1

[sound]
queue_length=200
ding=0

[gps]
port="5"
baud="57600"
protocol="nmea"
set_messages=0

Thanks sporty, tried it but unfortunatly didnt work for me. Still not detecting satellites.

Trying to get Primo working on a sony has become a bit of a challange, but I think now will have to revert back to igo8 which works fine, but I will still keep looking around to see if someone else comes up with a solution!

You may have done so already but look in the sys.txt of iGO 8.3 for entries specific to your device and put those entries in Primo.

@Zeppelin
I thought you received advice from somewhere else. Going to other place for advice will only conflict and you'll never get it right.
If it ain't broke don't fix it!
