Will do.

I have also managed to start Primo 2 with the GPS FIX files added. I did it slightly differently to the previous attempt.

This time I downloaded and added the 'Decent Skin' (from here, added all the extracted files/directories and set it up as default skin.

I then added the GPS Fix files to the directories which now existed (having been added for the Skin) and this time when I started Primo2 I did not get the 'Out of Memory' error.

So far so good.

I will test both these versions (1 & 2) when I'm out at the weekend to see if the GPS connection is maintained, and post back results.

I had some time this evening and took the phone out in the car to test the installations. It was only a 5 minute drive but as V2 was losing the GPS after about a minute from start up and then continually re-locating/losing the signal every 30 secs or so I though 5 minutes would be a reasonable start.

First - V1.1 - it just worked without any issues.

Second - V2.4 - it worked and held the signal for the whole drive.

An observation.

When I first installed the fix on its own I did not understand why on launching Primo I was asked to re-calibrate the phone screen - but I did.

When I got to the home screen, any selection created the 'Out of Memory' error.

I then decided to remove the fix, and installed and used the dimkawa skin.
When I set that and restarted Primo once again I was asked to re-calibrate the screen - which I did again.

However this time when I selected 'More...' on the home screen I had no out of memory error, and the GPS seems to keep its lock.

I was somewhat confused as I had removed the GPS FIX, and till was puzzled by the recalibration request.

So for the moment I'm content.

So to all involved in helping, and to those who wrote the skins/fixes :grouphug:

I read the thread concerning the dropping of the GPS signal. Maybe I read it wrong but it seems to me that having to calibrate the screen each time you want to use the nav is a waste of time. If my 1.1 worked without the extra effort, then why use another version?

What actually happens is that you calibrate the screen once on first startup after installing the skin, then each time that Primo is launched thereafter the calibration is automatically launched, but as it has been set once (on first startup) it just flashes up the calibrate screen which immediatley disappears again and Primo launches.

Seems to work, and unless you are watching the screen intently the calibrate screen isn't even noticeable.

It's trying to install their own download manager so:

IGNORE the DOWNLOAD button (the big green one) and click the box below that reads 'Create Download Link'.

That will create the link to the .rar file
