ok, i de-activated my gps,
and i saw a button called autodetect which i clicked,
then after 2 seconds it said GPS FOUND!!
but autodetect has set my baud rate to 38400!!
not 4800 like it used to be!!

whats up with that??

eskro... you remind me of a kid that got a new toy that he always wanted... play play play :tease:

Signal strength will vary based on so many factors... cloudy, rainy, trees, etc. Mine varies at night, where I get a much faster lock in the daytime and at night it takes sometimes twice as long. There is also this weird spot in my town between these buildings that causes my device to drop the lock on the satellites. From what I hear in NY that happens a lot as well.

Well, this means that your gps can work on baud 38400 and less.

Even though i've run'ed 'GPSScan_debug.exe' on my device and results were;

Port: COM1
Baudrate: 4800
Protocol: NMEA

shall i leave my GPS settings to what 'autodetect' has decided?
such as Port 1 - Baud Rate 38400?

???

-thx-

The baud rate is sort of a refreshing speed number. Choose the highest possible and if it don't work, choose one step smaller, until it works smoothly.
