This is a mortscript error, possibly related to miopocket

FWIW, I agree. This was my next suggestion also.

I have not installed Miopocket in the system, I have only used it through the sd card. Do you think I should install it in the rosen system? just worried if I would brick the system.

This is what I have done with Mio, I downloaded the above file, unzipped it. Renamed MioAutorun.exe and mioautorun.msr to nngnavi.exe and nngnavi.scr respectively. Put all the unzipped file in the NNG folder. copied the Mioautorun and unlock to the root of the sd card.

Now please give me some suggestion what i should do?

I have never changed any file in the navigation system. all my changes have been in the sd card only.

That's kind of 'installing' it, really.
Undo all that (reverse the process) and see what happens.

The point is to return the device to the stock setup to see if it will then load the new iGO version.
So try that, rename the folder/exe file, and rename (temporarily) sys.txt to sys.txt.old.
And see how far you can get.

GOOD job by you putting everything on the SD card. It's not a good idea to mess with the internal drive unless you are instructed to do so. Do as YT suggests, first backup your SD card to your computer. Then delete all from the card. Next, extract only the program and the contents to your card. Make the necessary editing changes to the files for your particular device in the appropriate sections pointing the device to the program so you don't get a database not found error. My uploaded program has your resolution http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?6880-Igo8-March-5-2011

Wed Jul 04, 2012 3:26 pm

Put all the file from igo8 into nng folder. renamed igo8 to nngnavi.exe. Then i put the sd in the car, gave me an error program data not found. Saw that the program had created a directory called igo8 in the root. So copied all the content to the root also. Then put the sd and started the car, nothing came put on the screen, just map loading message, which is the default image of navigation system. I changed the sys.txt file's resolution to 480x234 which is my car's resolution. Any further suggest is welcome.

Happy independence day

Did you try without a sys.txt (or a blank one)?
That first error indicates a path problem more than anything else.
You should have the files/folders arranged and named exactly how the original software on the original SD card was/is.

I believe this is the sys.txt that came with the download:

If that does not work, add this to sys.txt and try again:
Code:

sdcardpath="\MMC_Storage\NNG"

If I add this I get the error saying program data not found.

without this after editing the sys.txt file based on your spoiler, the program just shows map loading. It does a fast open frame followed by multiple small frame close. and then nothing.

Any other suggestion.

By any chance do you have 8.3.1.62341 version of igo8? If so can you upload it. I would like to put this in the replacement SD card and see if it works.

No, I do not have any iGo8 versions prior to 8.3.5.
And even if you found one, I tend to doubt that would make any difference....if older versions of iGo8 would run, probably so would 8.3.5.
I'm starting to think that there may be something 'peculiar' about that device and/or the original software that may still remain on it or runs when the system boots...like it is 'locked' somehow to the version of iGo that came with it.
You may need to try an alternate menu system...like an unlocker to free you of the default menu system and anything that it may be auto-running.
Perhaps Fatboyfun can help you with this in determining what might be the next best thing to try.

Please post your sys.txt. I do have an old license and actually an 8.3.1 program [59883] that may work but it does need extensive sys.txt editing for your device. Do you want to try it or [the entire program]?

Are you sure you're the back slash [color="#B22222"]\[/color] and not the straight slash [color="#B22222"]|[/color] in your path? Just asking. Also, did you try it without the "" marks? It has worked for others.

Bits and pieces of my sys.txt but nothing showing a path. What about my other questions and thoughts - no answer.

Sat Jul 07, 2012 3:39 pm

yes I would like to try the old program if you can upload it some place. There is no program path in the sys.txt. The path is defined int he hsb.txt which is:

\MMC_Storage\BMP\mei.bmp
\MMC_Storage\NNG\nngnavi.exe
\Flash_Storage\BMP\1Down.BMP
0,0,1,1
\MMC_Storage\NNG\nngnavi.exe
\Flash_Storage\BMP\2Down.BMP
0,0,480,234

America

It's actually for the PC so you probably have to alter some things for your device http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?10359-Igo8-for-PC-again You might try just replacing the license file to begin with. Let us know how you make out. Even though no path might be required, I would try everything anyway if I were you.
