I'm new here and I'm Brazilian.. so, excuse my english.

I'm having a trouble with Primo 1.2... With other version (Igo 8.3), when I exiting the navigator, the device shows me the main screen, with options to run Player, Photos, Adjustments, ... In this version, when I exit the navigator, my device show me the main screen by one second and shut down. With this, the mapchanger feature doesn't work to me.
Is this a problem?? Configuration?? How I fix it?

I posted a video with the problems... I'm speaking portuguese, but you can see the problem.

If someone can help me... I'll greateful this...

Thanks in advanced.

One of my devices has this problem, Using the same build of Primo that runs ok on another device, i could not figure out what was causing it, It must be a device / WinCE problem.

@vipper

FWIW, I have to agree with Fatboyfun that it's a WinCE/program problem. When Primo was created it was done by another team that first produced iGO 8.3. Therefore, the files/folders were created from the beginning again. It was not based upon a previous program. They must have changed something enough to now interfere with your device. You just might have to live with it or return to iGO 8.3.
If it ain't broke don't fix it!
ALWAYS BACK-UP YOUR FILES/FOLDERS BEFORE MAKING EDITING CHANGES!

Please do NOT post any thanks. Simply press the hand icon with the "thumb up" which is the thank you button.

As the mapchanger is just a mortscript run from within Primo it's possible to edit it so it's in front of Primo so it asks which map set you want to use before Primo starts. Tap yes for TeleAtlas or no for Navteq etc...

I don't agree that is a windows ce problem. May be a problem what Primo is creating in windows ce. Remember, Win Ce already exist when Primo was created, and the Primo should be full compatible with Win CE... So, if don't have solution still. Let's live with this. Thanks a lot by answers.

There is a huge variation between versions of WinCE 5, Hardware vendors can modify it to suit there own programmes, Meaning the same programme can react differently on what appears to be a similar device.

I'll work on the mapchanger for you later today and post it here soon.

If you want.. and if you can, of course... comment the code... I tried to understand the code on mapchanger, but, my programming skills didn't work well. LOL.

Thanks a lot.

No problems, I'm not going to be in front of a pc until later this evening, but it shouldn't take long to sort it out.

Give this a try...

BACKUP EVERYTHING FIRST JUST IN CASE SOMETHING GOES WRONG!!!

Download, extract, copy ALL files and folders to iGO directory.
Place the TeleAtlas maps and POIs into the Teleatlas Maps and POIs directories
Same applies for Navteq maps and POIs
Run Pre iGO Map Changer.exe

First question is "Would you like to include POI's?" answer Yes or No.
This is saved, You won't be asked this again.
Second question is "Would you like to use TeleAtlas or Navteq content?"
Answer...
Yes for TeleAtlas.
No for Navteq.
Cancel to use the last selected mapset. (Last selected mapset will be shown after one has been selected)

It may take a few moments to copy the requested maps across, then iGO will be started automatically.

2683

I only tested this under emulation so making the backup is essential!!!

It may need tweaking slightly...
The mscr file has comments throughout to help you understand what each instruction does.
Currently sleeping...

Hi Fatboyfun..

First, I need to thank you.

Now... the questions...

My GPS device need that I set the path to EXE program. So, I need to set the path to Pre Igo Map Changer.exe... is right??

If is right... something is wrong, because my device says: Set the navigator path... and nothing happens.

What I did wrong??

Thanks

Hi, I've been running IGO8.3 for 1.5 years, but Primo 1.2 does interest me.

Is there a youtube video so I can view Primo 1.2 in action?

Plus I'd like to know the reasons why I should uprade?

Thanks
