primo error message

Fri Jun 11, 2010 7:19 pm

After download I've put it on the SD card. When I'm first time started I've got an error message "global_cfg missing" But this is on the content folder and a zip file is on this folder.
Can somebody help me what is the problem ?
Also I'd like to ask about the sys.txt. Anybody have one with the working primo ?

Thanks :smilie_d_002:

First make shure, you have no other Folder with the name "igo" or "igo8" on your sd-Card or internal memory.
Check the size of the global_cfg.zip (370kb).

Here is my working sys.txt

You must have missed this post by me:

By adding this entry to Primo sys.txt, you should be able to use the other navigation programs on the same SD card without having to change names.

Add to sys.txt
[folders]
has_secondary_root=0

Also, I strongly recommend that each program use its own content. Sharing content might create that error message.

Hi
Thank you guys to try to help me. I try to use your sys.txt ( I've fixed to my devise and gps port) but still unable to star it up :(
I've got the start screen and when starting to load "LANGUAGES" all freezing. I did it 3-4 times ans same.
I only have left on my SD card 1 folder "Primo" and 2 more file "device.nng" and "pmp_usb" and this is a 4GB card so i guess I have empty space enough.
I also checked my global_cfg.zip and a size is 372 KB.
But my main problem is I can not started up yet ! I really appreciated if somebody can help me .
Thanks

Ok... here is a copy of Primo from my c320 and c520:

OK... here it is all setup with TTS. No maps though, no POI, no Building, no Dem. you can just add the ones you are using for igo8. Remember to run Primo on it's own SD card.

Now, you will want to adjust the sys.txt according to chas's post. My current sys.txt has been edited since I uploaded that. Also I did not include the LOQ TTS, only the nuevo (or whatever it's called). So you will want to get chas's TTS LOQ package and add it to the copy of Primo above, as well as the TTS .dll's from your igo8. I do plan on reuploading a new "full package" using my current configuration, however it probably won't be until the weekend.

it sometimes helps to delete the primos 'save' folder if you add new things on the sys.txt..........

xtyler92 as always ! Thank you ! Those packages what you send it to me are working fine.
Thanks again ! :drinks: :canada:

Well looks like I'm not gona use this "Primo" bacause it does not wanna work for me...:(
The program running well ( Thanks for xtyler92 ) but I have no satellite signal at all... It is running a half an hour ago and still can not find any satellite.
I've switched back the SD card to an other one with iGo 8.3.2 on it, and I've got a satellite signal at 3 second.
In the sys.txt I have a same sonfiguration for gps port and bad.
Anybody have any idea what wrong ?
Thanks

It's Xtyler92. You say that you are using the same baud and port that you now use for iGO 8.3 and that you made the change in Primo's sys.txt. Just throwing this out there but when you made the change into the sys.txt did you also save the file first?

You're very welcome and Xtyler92 is not upset at all about your error. He hopes that is the worst thing that ever happens to him in life.

LOL... you ain't kidding. My name doesn't matter to me... xtyler is just a name I made up a long long time ago. It actually has nothing to do with my real name.

Chas you are always posting on here before I get on!!! LOL. Nice work. Hopefully in the coming weeks we can really make this place take off. I am not sure exactly when nabi will be back, but I can assure you he will be impressed as much as I am with how well you have been helping people here. Keep up the great work. You are a true asset here.

So now, I want a raise! Updated more maps today.
