Primo on Chinese GPS 7 "/ 800x480/128 MB/800mh/WinCE 6

Sat Jun 25, 2011 7:43 am

Hi, I installed the "iGo Primo 1.2 Optimized for Europe - but Can Be Used Anywhere" on the Chinese GPS 7 "/ 800x480/128 MB/800mh/WinCE 6. Works pretty good except that:

- It does not read" NEW! Europe . Navteq.2011.Q1 and 2011.Q1.Eastern.Europe Local Providers (TOPMAP) "but read the TA maps
- Mapchanger not start
- if I turn navigational voice off the sound completely, forced to reboot.

Any ideas? is there an iGO 8 that works better than Primo on Chinese GPS 7 "?

You need to configure the mapchanger ini files before it works, can you explain the sound problem a bit more?

In this newer version of MapChanger, it's now "utility.ini" in the Primo/Utility folder.

Also...after configuring the utility.ini file..the easiest way to enable the MapChanger from within Primo is to also enable the diMka skin. Then restart. You can then choose to display MapChanger as a Menu choice in Quick Menu settings.

Yes, I have changed utility.ini to:
- [General]
DirContent = \ Storage Card \ Primo \ content
DirSave = \ Storage Card \ Primo \ save
ExeName = iGO.exe
Sound = set.wav

[mapchanger]
swpoi = 1
swbuilding = 1
swhistspeed = 0
swphoneme = 0

[back]
BackupDir = \ Storage Card \ Pbackup

[Utility]
Hide temp path = \ Storage Card \ ~ temp

changed to diMka skin and get list of programs but when I click on MapChanger.exe it will not start.

Sound problem: when I select routes, I would turn navigational voice off but then turn off all sound and just reboot gives the sound back.

Is the Swedish voice or should I use the the old one?

That's not how you do it. You are trying to run Mapchanger as an External Program. Setup the Mapchanger Icon in the Quick Menu.

This shows here with spaces. There should be no spaces except for the one between Storage and Card (if that is the correct name of your SD card). Such as \Storage Card\Primo\content

I don't know what you mean by that.

It's only browser that shows the space otherwise it's \Storage Card\Primo\content.
Ok I'll try to start it from Primo.

I wonder if there are Swedish voice to Primo 1.2, or should I use old voices from iGO 8?

I don't know if there are Swedish voices for Primo 1,2, but you should definitely NOT try to use voices or language files from iGo8--or even Primo 1.1(without them being modified for Primo 1.2 first)!

Is there igo8 that would work on my device?
Much easier to find voices, language .....

Works "diMka WA Primo 1.2.x 1.3.2 05-11-2011" on this Primo version, should I change the default skin until I change to diMka?

I'm sure there would be.

I have not tried these myself in Primo 1.2, but I know the guy who 'made' them, and he is good.

I don't know exactly what you mean. You already have the latest diMka-WA skin for Primo 1.2 (version 1.3.2)--there is really nothing to change about it.

Sorry was not awake! :scratch_one-s_head_

PS.....
As it turns out, I DO have the Swedish LANGUAGE file (for changing the Program Language from English to Swedish), but I do not have VOICE files.
If you want the Language file, let me know and I will upload it for you.

Yes! Thank you!!!

Swedish Language File:

2920

Put zip file in {Primo}\Content\lang
Do not extract or unzip!
Then change Language in settings.
I have not tried this (obviously), but I hope it works for you.
It will change Program language only (dialog boxes, buttons, etc), but will not change any spoken voices.
