@nabi,

I downloaded them from this link http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?9659-iGO-Primo-2.0-Nuance-TTS-Pro-Voices-Torrent and the only dll loaded is Vautov5.dll

I just checked my Primo2 install. TTS works without any lines in sys.txt.
The DLL's I have are :

VAUTOV5.DLL 1.959.936 06/05/2012 14:02 -a--
vocon3200_asr.dll 1.498.624 06/05/2012 13:56 -a--
vocon3200_base.dll 199.680 06/05/2012 13:59 -a--
vocon3200_platform.dll 18.432 06/05/2012 14:03 -a--

That's okay. The DLL's I named are TTS related.

Do you have the vocon folder in root ? And a folder called tts_nua_v5 ?
The voices are in content/voice ? (also check the spelling!) ==> edit: they are, they show up but are greyed out - your first post)

Yes, have all of them, spelling is correct. In the vocon folder there is only a sub directory > models > acmod3_800_plp_gen_car_f16_v2_0_1.dat and acmod3_800_ptp_gen_car_f16_v2_1_0.dat
Voices are in content > voice, still zipped. In the sounds and warnings menu, below voice language, there is a menu that says TTS Pro, but is is greyed out, the tts voices show on the voice language menu but nothing happens when I select them.

Same as mine

Okay too.

Hmm.
When all is correct and all is downloaded on the right spot (thus the correct voices (pro) and DLL's) and it's not working, then a possible reason could be some voice (or DLL) has become corrupted on the download or on the install. You could do a reinstall and if needed a redownload to try it over again.

But when it's just a voice, check this: when you install another complete different voice, like hungarian or whatever, what is the result?

maybe, just maybe, check the setting\sound and warning\alert point settings\audio warning, is it set to primo
sound or iGo 8 sound, if it is iGo sound change it to primo sound.

@nabi, thanks a heap for the help so far, I have started downloading other language files, will test your theory when done.
@furat52, thank you too, where do I check that?

For furats tip, just follow his lead menu - settings - warnings - etc
However that's for audio warnings on speedcams, not for directions.

Hi Guys,

Reporting back. I downloaded the TTS Pro voices again, only the Deutch voices (street names announced) work when I press them, but TTS Pro is still greyed out on my menu and when I press back it reverts to my previous voice (street names not announced). :dash3:

Dutch or Deutsch (German) ?

Strange behavior. My guess is that something in your install is wrong, the question is what?
I have no TTS lines in sys.txt. When you have, delete them, just to be sure nothing is interfering here. Get the original sys.txt in place.
Then delete the save folder which is in root and restart. On that restart, you will have to do your settings again and a new save folder will be made.
When this doesn't help, I would suggest to do the install over again, but very strictly. Something has gone wrong somewhere.

The Deutsch voices.

Here is some idea of what my file structure looks like...

That structure is partly wrong. In content folder should only be folders, no "naked files".
Could that be it?

I sent you PM in a few minutes.

@nabi,

I bow to you, I have no idea what you made me do, but the UK TTS Pro voices are working and TTS Pro settings are enabled. You rock, thank you very much

I'll go one step further, if you aren't using any Loquendo TTS voices and it doesn't appear so, then you can delete the TTS_LOQ folder.
If it ain't broke don't fix it!
ALWAYS BACK-UP YOUR FILES/FOLDERS BEFORE MAKING EDITING CHANGES!

Please do NOT post any thanks. Simply press the hand icon with the "thumb up" which is the thank you button.
