I am impressed ! Great job!
So 'us' means 'you', I presume.

Is the program limited to some Windows versions? Will it work on other devices (than PNA) too?

But when you say "Download" and "Put it on the root of your device", the program is on the device?
And the device should be connected to PC or not? Because the backup is on the C:\ drive.
Does it matter what Windows CE?
And will it work on other than PNA devices?

Whatever your feelings, you have to give eskro kudos for showing initiative.

honestly, i think its perfect...

#1-
i uploaded to mirrorcreator.com so there's plenty of hosters to choose from....
i see no problems there...

#2-
also, i dont get what your saying,,,
"No check for a different letter - so it doeas not matter what you click, the old backup is gone in any case except you press "r".
So, only mistake and the backup is completely useless."
??

#3-
why need confirmation to overwrite existing files?
i mean, when u want to backup, or restore, of course it'll involve overwriting files,,,
so why should it ask to overwrite or not?

#4-
backup is created in C:\My_PNA_Backup\
which then you can move anywhere on your PC and rename it the way you want,,,,
you get total control aleady...

The idea is good, so full credits there.
But the basic questions should be asked in a batch like that.

1# a simple attachment would be enough or for a few lines of code a simple code box and anyone can copy it into a text file and save as .bat
2# it is really the simplest basic stuff that is missing - you think two letters are enough?
It does not matter what you press unless you press restore there will always be a backup written to the disk - overwriting any existing backup without asking.
3# If you play with new Navcores or whatever you do to mess up your device you might want and need more than one backup.
And certainly you want to be asked if your old backup is destroyed.
4# It is a fixed path and the user can't even decide if he wants to use it.

So I still say : this not a program it is just a simple copy without any security or safety checks.
Don't get me wrong, but for simple DOS (or Basic) it is just not enough.
Than it is even easier and better to use the onboard Windows backup ;)

@ Eskro: I really love the idea and I love your initiative!!

But:
Downunder knows what he is talking about.
He knows about programming (me not) and is giving you some constructive ideas (in a hard way).

1. Indeed, a freehost is somewhat overdone for 732 bytes. Since it is a such short batch file, it's ideal to attach to your post.

2. I can't say what will happen if one presses a wrong key. Let's say the '*' or the 'u'.
Imagine the worst. Suppose a restore is wanted because the device got screwed up. The application is case sensitive (I think) and the 'R' is pressed (caps lock on). Now suppose Downunder is right. It's not the 'r', so a backup will be made and the old backup file overwritten. Do I need to say more?

3. He has got a point there, I think.

4. Euh, Yes and no. Yes, he can have total control, but he needs to know a bit about programming.

In short. Your program is a wonderful idea, but still basic and not fool proof. Can you improve it, please?
This could save a lot of headaches!
