I don't think his device WinCe core is corrupted. It lies in the Rom - should be R01.8.3 xxxx rom version.
It was only he has corrupted his mainshell system files by wrong edition during installation of Igo8.
You can see his device screen that the display was not full and partial display of the bootup image.
Could be caused by wrong version or something unknown yet. The worst thing is that Mio Moov has no proper hard reset button internally.
He needs to buy a Type A usb cable to connect to PC using Flash bootloader which will connect his device by terminal connection and not by usb mass storage - thats the only way out.
If he gets the Type A cable which is rather expensive. I will upload the bootloader Rom Flash software for him.
It will rebuild the Rom files - delete the system files after which he can use Mio More desktop to restore his system files to original.
