List of which skins work with which versions/releases?

Thu Mar 03, 2011 7:38 am

A list of which skins work with the different versions and releases of the various iGO products would be very helpful.

Also helpful would be notes if a skin that works has issues with certain resolutions or specific devices.

For example, GJ6.14_beta_03.zip works fine on iGO 8.3.2.96054 at 320x240 but at 480x272 causes an FFUI error during start, which can be dismissed then it functions perfectly fine - at least on a Nextar 43LT (Q4 series).

If there are cures for issues that cause minor issues or keep a skin from working on a certain iGO version or specific hardware etc, that would be great data to include.

Such a list would be a good resource to point people to, ask them what *specific* version they have, then point them to the list that tells exactly which skins are known to work with it.

So here's a start

iGO version: 8.3.2.96054
Skin: GJ6.14_beta_03.zip
Works on: Rightway RW200 @ 320x240
Works with minor issues on: Nextar 43LT @ 480x272 (FFUI error, tap OK then it works)
Does not work on: none known yet

iGO version: 8.5.11.168090 (Primo)
Skin: GJA_v2.25D.zip, GJA_v2.25N.zip
Works on: Nextar 43LT @ 480x272
Works with minor issues on: none known yet
Does not work on: none known yet

I think you already did ask the members. Now it's up to them to read your post and "do the work."

That's not the point. The point is to build a list of what works with what. If someone is having trouble with a certain skin and iGO version combination, it might be an issue with their device that a different version of the skin won't have a problem with.

I've run into exactly that where the same iGO version and same skin version doesn't work on two different devices. At least in that case the problem is minor.

The latest skin may not always be the *best* version.
