Igo Primo 1.1 TMC

Thu Mar 10, 2011 7:46 pm

Hi,

I've got a HTC Touch Pro running Igo Primo 1.1 and hypergps to access the FM radio tuner, which works quite well at delivering TMC. However, I have noticed that when the signal is low the auto tune function skips TMC stations that I can receive if tuned manually within IGO. Does anyone know any settings that can influence the auto tuners sensitivity ?

I have been looking at all the info on the web and have noted the following sys.txt entries which appear to be related to the tuner, but I don't know exactly what they do, can anyone explain their purpose ? They are as follows:

[tmc]
port_read_timeout=8000
tuner_alg_search_force_on=1
tuner_alg_search_timeout=10000
tuner_alg_rds_packet_timeout=1500
tuner_alg_8a_packet_timeout=3500
tuner_alg_3a_packet_timeout=5000
tuner_alg_last_8a_packet_timeout=60000
ignore_suspend=1
ignore_resume=0

Hope someone can help.

Kind regards

I know no one who knows the meaning of all sys.txt lines.
"Your" lines are not even listed in our Primo sys.txt thread, so you did find them elsewhere. They don't know?
Anyway, I miss these lines:
show_all_provider_list=1 ;(0)
near_provider_distance_km=100 ;(30)
auto_band_search_up=0
auto_tuning=1

I have no further information about TMC. I can't use it myself (no TMC hardware) and I am no Primo user either.
So it's up to you testing. Unless your "GPSwebsite shopping" pays of.
