as nabi states above if u follow the tutorial he links to it shd work ok. make sure you have a reformatted SD card before "playing" so u know that it's not that causing you problems ~ i used chas download of primo 1.2 & it worked like a dream following the procedures in the tutorial.
when u do a hard reset [without the SD card in the unit] u shd see « [color="royalblue"]Warning : pressing the on/off button for 3 / 2 /1 seconds will return the unit to factory settings[/color] » then the unit resets & after this u put the SD card in the unit [not conneted to a power source]. the viamichelin screen flashes up for a moment & then Primo starts up automatically to the main navigation page & you are "go". the only chge that you then need to make is to get the 2 bmp files as described im step 8 [with thks 2 marcy].
i find with primo installed i seem to get a quicker satalite signal than i did using the old vm software. IMHO the primo navigation software knocks spots of what i used to think was a quite good effort by viamichelin.

i shd have added that the tutorial is a "hack" to get primo to run & not an "unlock". if you do a hard reset after using primo you can then use the viamichelin software just like before with no difference.

ive tried clicking yes and also no but still no igo any 1 able to point me in the right direction?it may be worth mentioning i tried another igo primo but had resolution issues
many thanks for any help its appreciated"

Ok, first things first, sorry not only have I had alot on recently I changed my PM settings to contacts and moderators only because I was getting hastled by a couple of members PMing me for things that should have been discussed on a thread (Thats another story)

Anyways, feel rest assured that the IGO, TOMTOM and PRIMO all work on the via michelin x960. First things first you need to unlock it in order to get the best out of it.

Download the latest mio pocket,[Please Register or Login to download file] then install it using the instructions supplied previously on the other thread that you were discussing and then when you have done that PM me (I will change the settings) and I will update this thread.

The files have to be in the format below:

create InstallSD folder then place the following files inside (change the names of the EXE and MSCR)

InstallSD.exe
InstallSD.mscr

Just in case your feeling particularly lazy heres the step by step guide

1. Format SD card
2. Create folder InstallSD on SD card
3. Rename both mscr + exe from MIO POCKET 4 to 'InstallSD' next place them in the folder along with mortscript.exe (so you will then have InstallSD.exe + InstallSD.mscr + Mortscript.exe)
4. Move rest of mio pocket 4 files and folders to the route of your sd card.
*When you view your SD card you should see 1 folder labelled InstallSD and the rest are mio pocket 4 files and folders. The only files that should be in the folder InstallSD are the Install.mscr,InstallSD.exe and the Mortscript.exe
5. Do a Hard reset (hole underneath stick a pin in and push the button.
6. Follow MP4 install instructions.

Simples

@ justlearning22
1. see? Marcy replied!
2. I am not pissed at you posting on other sites about your problem, but (a) consider that the only answer you got on G P S U was to come here and here you got all the help you can dream of - not there (b) you post another problem there or it looks like it's another problem than you describe here and (c) by that post you are giving the impression there this site sucks. Can you at least correct that?
