This tells us the port and baud settings are correct.

Question, Which build of iGO are you using?
Try using Yurbuh Tuggly's build to confirm a device or software issue.

And it's possible that this device has something wrong with the GPS, or needs a different antenna.

How do i find out what build of iGo i am using,

what makes you think there could be something wrong with the antenna,

Ive had a look and found i am using Product Version 9.6.5.211211 file version 9.6.5.0

i just looked at the torrent and i think i am using Yurbuh Tuggly's version.

Go to settings, about and look there.

its ok i found it :-).

i was just looking through my save profile in primo and i came across the system file and it says this:

[gps]
baud="57600"
gpstime="1350410030"
last_gps_date="2012.10.16."
last_gps_time="18:25:06.000"
port="2"

why would the baud rate be different to that of the one i posted earlier

Tue Oct 16, 2012 8:04 pm

Do you know where you got it from?

There are builds of iGO (Assembled by someone, usually for a specific device) that give all sorts of problems on other devices, trying to fix every issue is sometimes impossible.

I suggest trying a known working build to compare with what's installed now, If it's the same then i suspect a hardware issue, could be anything from a later revision GPS receiver which needs a slightly different antenna to the original device, Or it was just faulty from the start.

EDIT: Deleting the save folder would have fixed it, change the baud rate in the system file...

if i delete the save folder will i delete all the favourites stored. .. i think i have the version by Yurbuh Tuggly's i got it from here as i went to download the torrent file and i recognised the torrent file already on my computer.

Just either rename the save folder to something else or copy it first to your computer and then delete it from your device. This way you can rename it back or just copy it again from your computer.
