it's what i've done finally, without erasing the spud file, as i was unable to connect to the web, to read your answer.
otherwise, the spdb file is not updated with the new databse.
it's the same with my mio 405 device.
thx for all

It's always best to delete all the files in the speedcam folder when updating, then copy in the new .txt file.

i think it's better too, to erase the spdb file when adding a map, for example, cause the radar close from my home, doesn't apear when adding one

so, now, i can see the radars, but i don't hear any sound.
i've created an audio file in "install sd", and put a wav sound in it, naturally !
i've added in the sys.txt, at warning

approach_beep_sound = "sound2" (name of the sound)

could it be 'cause i have many other lines in that part
for example:

speedlimit_warning_visual=1
speedcam_warning=1
is_spoken=1
speedcam_max_lookahead=2000
speedcam_maxdistance_from_road=10

[speedcam_category:0]
activated_spoken_type=speech
activated_speech="Prudence radar vitesse devant"
;overspeed_spoken_type=1
warn_distances="150:2000,140:1800,130:1500,120:1400,110:1300,100:1200,90:1100,80:1000,60:700,50:600,40:500"

[speedcam_category:1]
activated_spoken_type=speech
activated_speech="Prudence radar mobile vitesse"
;overspeed_spoken_type=1
warn_distances="150:2000,140:1800,130:1500,120:1400,110:1300,100:1200,90:1100,80:1000,60:700,50:600,40:500"

[speedcam_category:2]
activated_spoken_type=speech
activated_speech="Prudence radar de feu de trafic"
;overspeed_spoken_type=1
warn_distances="110:1000,90:900,60:700,50:500,40:200,20:100"

and many others.
must i hear radar sounds in the simulation mode?

thx

ok for the simulation mode.
it's ok when driving for the warning sound, even the home made.
when i go to "/Options / regulations / parameters of display / markers of POI", if i check "fuel stations" for examples, i got an error massage "failed to open file: poi_petrol.spr - exiting application"
i can only click OK
the device reboot until i uncheck fuel station
the same with the parkings, that i can see on the device, but after a while i have the massage about restaurants !!!
any idea ?

thx

When you get the "failed to open ***" message, it means that file is missing from the resolution folder in the data.zip, (or skin)

There were faulty data.zip's around in the early days that has this problem.

You never did say where your copy of primo came from..?

Unfortunately we don't support downloads from other sites as we don't know what was done to it.

Try downloading one of our primo 2.x builds available here...

do you mean this one?
program-data-zip-branding-zip-license-f83/igo8-183522-march-2011-t15455.html
but it's igo8.
will it run with a 64mb device?
could there be some bugs as the device is Under win 4.2ce, & the file for win5 and later?

iGO 8 and Primo both run perfectly on wince 4.2/5/6.

The TTS engines are wince specific though.

64MB is enough to run iGO 8 and light builds of Primo, 128MB is recommended for Primo with all the enhancements.
