Re: IGO PRIMO 9.6.5.220394 (PHILIPS CED780) WINCE HELP

The utility, as is, is running perfect on my device and other devices as well, with no permission issues.
It should show the specs on the screen, and creates a text file with the specs as well.
Can it be that your device, or the SDcard it uses, is write protected?

Welcome to Navitotal!

When you write "and install it", what did you installed? Does your device have a navigation application? If it does, is it on the internal memory or on an external SDcard?
If it runs iGO or Primo, it will not work with papago or garmin maps, you need iGO/Primo maps

Do you get a message like "Autodetecting GPS receiver..." or "Looking for satellites..."

"Autodetecting GPS receiver" means the program cannot see the GPS receiver while "looking for satellites" means it can see the GPS receiver but no satellites are found (yet)

Delete the save folder, try again and be patient. A first satellite fix can take a while

Does that go on? Of course there is some time needed for the GPS to be found.
When it's not found after a while, you have to help it by putting some extra lines in sys.txt or delete wrong existing ones.
Can you publish your sys.txt? Do you per chance know the port and baud ? Was there a previous iGO or Primo installed so we could see that settings in the previous install (when you have a back up)
