Hello! i`m interested in installing iGO 8 on MIO Digi Walker C 250.
The original software is MioMap v3, but as i read on this forum, you suggest that i replace MioMap with iGO, so i want to do that.
I search but i didn`t find any unlock fot this device.

Yes, that is his Primo. He has also iGO available.

Certainly I will try to help you. Your device is on the older side but it can be done. Because you have WinCE 4.2 you can only have iGO8 and not Primo but that program is fine. You'll also have to make some editing for your device but that shouldn't be difficult either. First thing I want you to do is make a complete backup of your internal drive. You were a little off here. I don't have a C250 but a C320.

well.. first of all the sd card has 2 Gb.enough space. on the sd card i found one folder called maps, with .fbl`s, and a file called iGO_backup. but backup, for internal memory... i dont know how to get in folders .... it doesn`t appear no device in My Comp...

If I understand you correctly, you are saying that when you plug in your device via the USB, you are not seeing the device but only the SD card in My Computer?

i insert the sd directly into card reader ...and youre right i`m not seeing the device ...with the sd unplugged.. i started the miomap and i saw that there are some maps on the internal memory...

maybe bacause my laptop runs with win 7 x64... its that a problem ?

I'm a little confused here. You're using a card reader to see the SD card but what happens when you plug the GPS device directly into the computer via the USB? You mention internal memory in your post.

Maybe? Do you have access to an XP computer?

My guess is the c250 has CE 4.2 on it. That being the case windows will not recognize it as a harrd drive, so a separate card reader is needed to see the SD card content.

So, what would you recommend for an unlock for his device? Do you have a SD card unlock for 320_240?

first... buy a new SD card. This way you don't mess up the original. After that you want to download an SD unlock for your c250. There are some around, you'll have to look. I do not have my main computer with me anymore or I could upload one for you. I should have it back in a few weeks though. Anyways, once you have the unlock running, next you'll get igo8. When you get igo8 you'll have to download new igo8 maps as well. The new maps will go into the igo8/content/map folder. Do not download or add any dem files or TTS. The c250 is kind of limited, sso basically you'll just have the program and the maps. The unlock should be able to launch igo8 after that.

I have access to some SD card unlocks. First, did you download the iGO8 program?

c250 has win CE Core 5.0, writes on the back...
i`ll try to find an unlock for c250.ty
