iGO 8 on MIO Digi Walker C 250

i searched on google for "Free Unlock For Mio DigiWalker C250" and i found this archive, [Please Register or Login to download file] , because i read somewhere that bobflem used free unlock for his device and i sais why not ?
the problem is tat igo 8 ..is running very slow, freezing.
second, i tryied your archive Miodevice.rar and i saw there is another resolution... i tryied to modify , but no succesfull result. what is your advice ?

First, did you remove the contents like I suggested?

This is what I would have preferred you to do. Your device uses MioMap 3.?. Not 3.3. So, when you plug the device into the computer using a USB cable, nothing shows up. Is that right? If you went to the other thread, you would have seen a posted download by me that contains the Mio Transfer hack that allows you to see what is on your device. Unfortunately, you cannot transfer whole folders but individual files only. So, you have to manually create a folder and place files into it. I would prefer that you used my already contained unlock and 3.3 MioMap on your device [if it works] found in the Mio unlock section here. It should give you access to the device after plugging in the USB cable.

i installed your unlock, the unlock start only after one restart fron the menu,
but, igo 8 runsvery very slow,
the program memory is 28.4 MB, from the ResInfo. what can i do?

I assume that you're talking about the iGO8 program? If so, in the sys.txt is 480_272. Change that to 320_240. Remember to save the sys.txt before exiting it.

Which unlock are you talking about? Link?

Mio_C250_Unlock_by_Asgaard_v2.5 ...

Is the unlock working? I know it was work but I'm dying to know if my already contained 3.3 works for your device. It already has the unlock in the download. Nothing for you to do except copy the files to your device.

What did you delete from the contents folder and what do you have left? We will delete all TTS elements from your device next. That should help with speed.

it works, but, only after one restart, i dont understand why, i mean, i start the device, the press miomap button from the menu, self restart, then the music plays and the unlock start.

from the content i delete the buildings, dem,
i have in map folder .fbl, .hnr, .fda, .fta.

thats all.

but if i want to put instead of igo 8, miomap?

There's your problem. [color="#FF0000"]In iGO8 all you should have is .fbl.
[/color] Hnr, Fda, Fta are for Primo only. Delete them. FYI, unlocks do NOT start when the device starts. You have to start the device normally and then do something to make the unlock work.

Miomap is VERY old. The maps have never been updated. The most current is from 2007.

Also delete your save folder.

The next thing is to delete the TTS but let's see how this other deletion works.
