Ive got igo8 running on a 7" chinese radio.
How can I set the sound as muted by default?

You could try this in sys.txt and see if it does what you want:

[sound]
os_volume="0"

Hmmm...I wonder if that would just turn the volume down or to 0. Or actually mute it? - I'll give it a bash.
