How do I make the GPS louder when announcing ?

Wed Sep 21, 2016 1:23 pm

I can barely here it when it comes on, I have it set to the max in volume settings.
Is there something I need to add or do with the sys.txt file to be louder?

We can probably accomplish with the sys.txt entries. However, before we do that, some WinCE head-units allow you to adjust the navigation sounds volume separately from the radio volume.

See if you can adjust the navigation sound volume separately first - try adjusting the radio volume *while* the navigation voice is talking. This may adjust the radio/navigation volume "ratio". Like I said, some WinCE headunits keep separate volume levels for radio and navigation and you can adjust the navigation volume while the voice is talking.

See if that works first - then let me know. If not, we'll have to do it via sys.txt (less "clean" way of doing it if you can do it on the headunit instead).
