Help needed saving my Satsports s3200 device

Tue Aug 27, 2013 6:18 pm

Hi,

I have a SatSport S3200 device which I am informed is the same as a Snooper S320.

It has sat in it's original packaging due to a fault with the software that came with it and the promise of a replacement. However it seems that SatSports have gone bust. Rather that throw it away I thought I would try to use it as a Sat Nav for my bicycle.

I am a bit of a novice at this but have got this far.

Deleted all the software from the device and rebooted into Win CE. All ok.
Installed Igo Primo to the extent that it starts up and detects satellites.

The first and major problem I have is that the screen calibration is all wrong. It is fine in Win CE but in Primo it seems to be rotated 90 deg. Pretty much impossible to use. I have trawled through many posts on this site but not been able to find a solution. I have played around with the

The next problem / question is - Am I trying to install the best software for the device and purpose?

Here is a bit more info if it helps -

u-blox 5 GPS receiver
Win CE 5.0
2.8" WQVGA TFT Touch Screen (256 colours) (240x400 pixels)
512MB NAND and 64MB Main Memory
533MHz POLLUX CPU

I think that is the pertinent information.

Any help or suggestions gratefully received.

Peter

Because of the screen resolution you should go with iGO8.

Excellent advice FBF. My iGO8 program contains his resolution. He should download and install my program and edit the sys.txt to his resolution from 480_272 to 240_400.
