Still same problem. It doesn't matter if I set the value to 0 or 1 as in sys.txt and/or save\system.ini :

[route]
allow_unpaved=

After a restart the Unpaved road option is checked.

What happened when you used my program? I had the same problem as you with Primo and when I used my program, the problem went away.

Hi chas521,
I didn't tested it yet.
I'll test it next week probably, I'll reinstall all from scratch.

Israel maps has alot of mistakes. NNG makes this map by themself. Try a newer map, because they do fix it.

Hi miomoshe,
So what newer map are you recommend?
Is there a maps from other provider than NNG?

Hi
Just curious, why to use winrar for a non-archived file? All you need is to edit it, right? What's special with this file that requires tool that is not a standart editor?
(I'm using Windows Commander on a daily basis)

Cordial congratulations to you
Some guys with an excellent reputation (Chas521, Kamoteka, Miomoshe) posted their reaction before you did. They did not see that I was wrong.
I must have been doing some file editing while I was writing that and probably mixed up the two acivities. I can't remember exactly. But hey, that all proofs I am human. I think.

I didn't take that in account anyway ;)
I'm using [Please Register or Login to download file] try it you'll adopt it

Hi chas521,

I did tested yr iGO8 v8.3.5.183522, it works :D the Unpaved road option can be checked and/or unchecked  still as I'm French I've to test it in next time Israel (LOL).
Usually I'm using a [Please Register or Login to download file] which works only with their own branding.zip and data.zip files.

1. Do you recommend me using yr iGO8 with the above skin choup and them files?
2. What skin Dimka, Gurjon... are you recommend and what version?
3. My device is 7" dissplay 800x480 res with a Media Tek MT3351 GPS processor with 128MB DDR2 RAM and 8GB SD card.
Will it be better to use Primo 1.2, isn't it?
If so what version of Primo1..xxxx and what skin to use?

TNX for yr patience ;)

I'm glad to hear it's working. My iGO8 program isn't as pretty as Primo but it's more functional and correct when it comes to navigation. SORRY EVERYONE BUT I'M JUST PATTING MYSELF ON THE BACK HERE! Seriously, Primo IS a fine nav but ultimately I find iGO8 to be a little bit better in my book. Also I find that the audible navigation is better in iGO8 because it says to make the next left rather than saying to make a left at the second traffic light or sometimes nothing at all. I find the latter to be inaccurate at times. I'm using Amy [non-TTS] voice right now because Susan and Kate [TTS] talk too much.

The ONLY skin I use is the Kikker 3.2 that I included with the iGO8 program download. Dimka and Gurjon are too busy for me and take away a lot of space from the map screen. However, if you want my advice it is this. Do not change the data and branding zips just to use the Choup skin. It is just not worth it as I see. Changing either or both could have disastrous effects on the entire program. If anything, I would go with the Dimka skin if that's what you want.

From the device specs you posted, I would say that you could have any program you want.

In the List of iGO 8, Amigo, and Primo (Windows CE-Based) releases, iGO8 v8.3.5.183522 --- March 16 2011 - Navon - "strip down" build, works on "low performance devices".
That's the reason why I'm looking for a better program

I thought you downloaded my full-version from here http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?6880-Igo8-March-16-2011 Not the slimmed-down version in edit3. Download from one of the two speedy mirrors. Also see how I further modified the audio folder in post #2.

TNX chas521,
I've downloaded the full version.
The list made me wrong.

Nicely done! Just want to say that Nabi's list is NOT incorrect. He was referring to the fact that the program was created for low-memory devices not so much that it was shortchanged. Nevertheless, my program will work fine on your device.

Hichas521,

Here bellow the image of my device runing yr iGO8. As you can notice at the bottom right, there is a Blue-Tooth, speaker (crossed) and TMC.
Do the speaker (crossed) be used to mute it?
How do I enable the TMC, when all 3 config options are [AUTO]

BTW, I'll use my device in real in the next hours and let you know next week ;)

Yes..at least as an indicator. According to picture, the sound was muted at the time. A speaker icon without the line through it would indicate a non-muted condition. Tapping that indicator icon may do nothing. You may have to un-mute the speaker in the settings if a button is not available in the map view.
