Current Track Log Display Is Underneath Saved Tracks

Sun May 28, 2023 6:03 pm

Hello All,

How to force iGO Primo to display the currently recording track log on top of other saved tracks and roads etc. displayed on the map?

Primo has never done this, any Android and WinCE versions I've tried all place the currently recording track log underneath previously saved tracks and the map's roads.
I don't think NextGen is usable in Australia?, so I haven't tried using it.

Pics below show what I mean.
Both iGO8 and Primo were recording a track log at the same time.

1st pic is iGO8, which displays the current track log (blue) on top of previously saved logs (pale dark green), which I would still be using but all my old WinCE devices have stopped working unfortunately, not buying any more WinCE devices, it's a long story but the newer ones are not reliable enough for what I need them for.

2nd pic is Primo 9.6.29.636868 running on a Fodsports Android device that was recording at the same time, it's current track log (yellow) is placed by Primo underneath the previous logs (pale dark green).
Apologies for the poor quality image, I haven't been able to get the screenshots to work on it as yet so took it with my camera and didn't realise until I got home how blurred it was.

In the Primo image inside the red circle there's a small portion of the yellow currently recording track just visible where I deviated slightly from the previously saved track log shown, and the same behind the cursor
It would certainly be a lot easier to see where the currently recording track log goes if it were displayed on top of previously recorded track logs as iGO8 does.

I've been trying to figure this out for weeks now, I think it's something to do with the layer order of either the currently recording log, or previously saved logs, or maybe both but I cannot find what controls either of those layer positions in any of the .ui files.

So I'm asking for help from those who understand these things.
This issue is not caused by a skin as it happens without using skins on both WinCE and Android versions of Primo, and as far as I know has been in Primo since it was first released.

What do I need to change so the currently recording track log is shown in Primo above previously saved track logs as it is in iGO8?
Is there a sys.txt entry to force this?
Is it a matter of changing something in one of Primo's .ui files?
Is there a UX that does this?

Thanks!
