Does you igo start and work with these sys.txt entries? If yes, then your device is really 480x272 (not 800x480)!

Are you sure?

I have two Chinese in-dash units, both with 800x480 screens. But one of them has an 800x480 screen for GPS. The other is lower resolution, though I forget what, precisely.

In sys.txt, delete the resolution_dir line or better: put a ";" in front. When the real resolution of the screen is in the data.zip, igo will select it. The program itself is smart enough.
Only when you want to force the resolution - that is if for whatever reason, igo can't find the resolution by itself, and that is rarely the case - the sys.txt line is needed.
Also delete the save folder. A false entry can destroy the start procedure. Only "disadvantage" is that all settings - there are none, igo did not run at all - will be lost.
