Can I run IGO on a Navman 570

Postby stlouieblues » Sun Sep 19, 2010 4:12 pm

I have an old Navman Pin 570 and heard it is close to a Mio. Is there anyway of insalling Igo? Do I need to unlock my navman? It is running windows mobile 4.2. Thanks

Isn't it a PDA? If so, no unlocking required
I searched for the specs and found it has only a 266Mhz processor and Sirf II Gps

Minimum System Requirements :
• Microsoft® Windows Mobile™ operating system
300 MHz processor (400 MHz recommended)
• 64 MB memory (128 MB recommended)
• Touch screen display

You could try. It seems iGO runs without problems on some 200 MHz.
Don't expect the eye candy (like 3D buildings) to work. And forget TTS and memory eating stuff.

Specification for PIN 570

[Please Register or Login to download file]

it has 64MB RAM, that's enough for runing IGO8 with his Samsung CPU 266mhz.

I suceed in runing IGO8 on similary navman to pin 570, it was ICN 530, cpu - 300 mhz + 64MB RAM, and it could run IGO8 without problems, but normally don't add 3d building files, speedcamera files, cause these kind of files are dificult for processing on this configuration...

Nice ;) , then please post your expirience here, to share with other members... You can find some igo8 release like IGO 8.3.4.117940 - 3 november 2009 release, very stable, just find appropriate data.zip for resolution of your device, that's probably 320x240, cause your device is 3.5", but check that, you can find easy here in igo8 forum all these things, cause chas and other members here do good job for igo8 ...

p.s.
tomtom requirements isn't same like igo8 requirements, tomtom doesn't need some strong cpus and so much ram, for it is enough 32mb ram...
