The crash log is only really useful to developers, what's useful to us is any error message displayed...

However...

Could be relevant?

No idea fatboy, it could be, but this device has much greater memory than the last one which was also suffering from crashes when using online traffic :'( This device has far more memory so I figured this problem had been solved :( Here's another crash log from this morning.

I can't believe that I've bought a whole new device, and yet this problem still hasn't gone away. Perhaps iGo online simply can't be used with non-official devices. I might try TMC only, without using iGo online. It's not as fast, but it can get up to 150 events in about 5-10 minutes, so it's not terrible!

Here's another log:

So I'm going to take a punt and say you're right and I'm short on memory, seeing as two crashlogs now say the same thing.

What do you suggest deleting first? I have pretty much all of the additional features, so 3D Buildings? Terrains? POI's?

I would loose 3D buildings first, however you should dump what you fancy the least yourself. Although DEM is most memory consuming, I guess.

BUT : only when you use online traffic? Maybe that is the clue? Thus internet is active and GPS is ?
Also I can imagine that cured programs are not entirely crash proof on less used and less common features, like online traffic.

Yes, it only crashes when I'm using Online Traffic :( I've used many different versions of iGo and they all crash after a certain period of time. Sometimes 15 minutes, sometimes 5, sometimes 45, but they do usually crash.

Really?? And is there a common factor?
My iGO/Primo do crash only once or twice a year.

The common factor is Online Traffic.

I've tried two head units. I bought one, with 3G, and it didn't work, it crashed with Online Traffic. So I assumed it was memory low, so I bought a new head unit, and I'm getting crashes again. but this head unit has TMC so maybe if I just use TMC only it won't crash? Still, it's so annoying :(

I know iGO/Primo+TMC works on many devices, so you could try that instead and live for a while without online traffic. See how that goes.

Does anyone have the China Alpine version:

Primo 9.8.0.292314 ?

That has confirmed working Online Traffic. Would give me an insight as to whether it's a software or hardware problem.

Cheers

FreeMemory is down to 1MB again. I'm now going to start stripping away components, what should I start with:
Dem? POI? Unnecessary maps? 3D Buildings?

Thanks

see post #5 and see this : http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?915-How-to-solve-memory-issues
Not sure if that (old) post is still of any value in more recent programs, but it was 200% for the old builds. You know that you best make a backup first.

Is it possible I've used too many speedcam files? I placed 3 in the speedcam folder, the 3 supplied with the UK pack. The speedcam database is over 2mb which I guess is quite a lot.

I've deleted the European files. This will be the start of my slim-down :)

I will go Speedcam, then DEM file, then 3D Buildings, then delete the Ireland POI file (not that I can see it making much difference!), then switching to regular voice, then I'll start hacking the data file removing the extra resolution files!!

I can also remove the ireland map files really. Can't see myself going there any time soon!!
