Are you sure the POI are or were iGO Poi's?

Fri Dec 03, 2010 12:52 pm

well, the NQ 2009 Q4 where download from the links from here. The 2008s where downloaded with a PDA built i found of IGO, and the TA i found them from here [Please Register or Login to download file] as map upgrades with POI supposedly for IGO.

I'm sure that you've seen in my posts that I reside in NY. I use the Navteq Q4 2009 maps [MUCH better than TA] with the current TA POIs [link that I gave you] and they work 100%. Make sure that you have only the maps in content\map and the POI in content\poi. Nothing else or you will get errors [possibly]. Also, what version of iGO 8.3 are you using and where did you get it? Sorry, if you already gave this information.

EDIT: OK, see your signature line.

so far the program and the files i have tested were downloaded from here. The IGO version is the one posted for 2DIN chinese units. I will try striping the content down to only maps, dems and POIs to try to make it work. I have TTS working, but the problem is from before i installed TTS

Are you using only the POIs I gave you or are you using others also in another place?

i'm using other also i also travel in NJ (actually i just got home from there). I live so close to the state border that when looking for locations sometimes NJ turns a shorter and faster rout.

That is a file within the data.zip, so try a different one.

that is "data.zip" the one in the main folder of the IGO8. By the way my resolution is 800*480

Thu Dec 09, 2010 7:31 am

Yes it is, copy your current one somewhere safe and download a fresh copy and try again, make sure it's the correct resolution, if you get the same problem again post your data.zip and i'll have a look in it later.

When igo tries to access the gasstation or hotel part of the poi it seems it is looking for but can't find the icon bitmap or a related file.

Just use the NY POI file link that I gave you in content\POI. Delete the other ones for now after you back them up first. Once you do that it will work fine for NY. Then I will send you the POIs for NJ.

EDIT: [Please Register or Login to download file] NJ

I used only the NY POI u gave me, and i still get the same problem. I tried using Igo primo and the program works but i end up with the same error as with igo8. However tha primo version i downloaded it somewhere, i was not able to get it from here, it was a shot into the wild to see if it work (which it did but poi) i don't know what else to do. I have gotten in contact with a guy on my vehicle's modifications forum that has the same unit i have and he has agreed to send me a copy of his program (no idea which one it is, I imagine it is the same) but of that it has been 2 weeks and no word, so I'm not having all of my hopes on that.

Strange and it's getting stranger. :o

Do make something clear to me since it 's not easy to give remote diagnosis here.
How many and which POI files (name and extension) do you have loaded?
